She is pursuing a hybrid career in medicine and illustration, with hopes to strengthen the collaboration between medical illustration and clinical medicine.
In 2019, Sarah started her 6-year residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at UC Davis, and she continues to infuse her medical illustration background into her surgical specialty.
She became a Board Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) in 2020.
When she has spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, painting her nails, cardio kickboxing, and martial arts. She is enamored with the color red, and can be seen in the clinic sporting her bright red stethoscope.
